Carry Forward

Connecting households that have items to give with families who need them — and volunteers ready to bridge the distance. No storage. No cost. No waste.

Student-Led Initiative

Started by a teenager who saw a better way.

Nesli Zurel, a sophomore at Vista Ridge High School, founded Carry Forward to solve a simple problem: people have household items they don't need, families desperately need those items, and the only thing standing in the way is the last mile of coordination.

By using teen coordinators to handle logistics and volunteer movers to provide transportation, Carry Forward closes that gap. What began as one chapter is now expanding across cities, proving that teenagers can make a real difference by solving real needs in their communities.

And growing

Three roles. One direct connection.

No warehouse. No middlemen. Items go directly from the donor's home to the recipient's door.

Designed for trust.
Built for simplicity.

We're not a moving company, a retailer, or a warehouse. We're a coordinator. Every design decision reflects that.

Partner-vetted recipients

Recipients are referred only by trusted partner organizations — no public intake.

Adult movers, teen coordinators

Movers are adults (18+). Teen coordinators handle logistics — never heavy lifting.

Direct, storage-free

Items move straight from donor to recipient. We hold nothing.

Important to know

  • We do not store items
  • We are not a moving company
  • No money changes hands — ever
  • No guaranteed pickup timeline
  • Recipients are referred through partner orgs only
  • We do not provide tax receipts
  • Gas reimbursement is not currently available

Our mission

Every household item that finds a new home is a move toward a more connected, generous community.

The gap between people who have things to give and people who need them isn't scarcity. It's coordination. That's what we do.
